"Step"

When you know, you really know,

It’s time to make a change,

To get up, move and just let go,

The future rearrange.

It starts inside your mind and heart,

God whispers His new plan,

You know it’s time to do your part,

And take a brand new stand.

And, yes, you’ll need the strength He gives,

You can’t but yes, He can,

And if you don’t your past relives,

It’s time your flame to fan.

The gifts and calling not withdrawn,

Because you didn’t go,

The Holy Spirit makes you strong,

And He wants you to know,

That far beyond your ask or thought,

He now makes a way,

For you the battle has been fought,

And it’s a brand new day.

So rise in faith and take the step,

You do not walk alone,

All that’s happened is your prep,

And your are all His own.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10, NAS)

it is our calling and destiny to do good works. We do not do these things in order to earn our salvation which comes to us as a free gift. But if we have received this grace by faith, it has a transforming effect upon our lives. The grace that saves changes us from the inside out and energizes us to live on purpose in service to others. Sometimes we lose sight of this mission, and default to our old selfishness. But the Holy Spirit is faithful to bring the true believer back to God-given destiny. And it’s never too late, this side of the grave, to live for Him. Take the next step and find God’s blessing there.

Lord, help do the works You have prepared for us to do, in Jesus’ name.
